It can be used along with other anti-spam plugins; Akismet and Bad Behaviour without any problems.

Comment and trackback spam can be major problems with certain targeted websites and so anything to cut down the time and resources wasted dealing with it is great.

WP-UserOnline gives the website admin the ability to view visitors IP (with a reverse lookup), the time and the page they are on.

This plugin also gives you a maximum number online at any one time total.

This plugin does;

1. Assigns one or more tags to each post,

2. Displays a sorted list of all tags that are used in the blog,

3. Displays a Tag Cloud,

4. Displays the tags in each post as part of the post’s meta data, and

5. Displays “related posts” by category on each post.

Please note with the above Tag Cloud feature, if you are not careful and the words in the cloud go over any table or CSS border it may break your web page layout. I have found this with Internet Explorer - other good browsers like firefox handle it fine.

We use this plugin with our content management solution and all our blogs.

Instead of just returning search results showing the page title and the standard post excerpt (which may not contain the search term), this plugin, search excerpt, displays the search term highlighted (like so) and the text before and after the search term.

So your searches will show you exactly where the search term was found and you will know if that is the right context you are looking for.

This plugin provides meta keywords for search engine optimization purposes (many search engines use the meta tag keywords).

This plugin also uses the same keywords as technorati tags which then can be automatically published on a “single post” page.

This plugin also tries to work out your keywords automatically from scanning your post (when either “publish” or “save and continue editing” button is pressed) - it is not recommended to use these but to use them as a guide. So all automatic keyword results need to be checked and edited before the new post is published.

I have used the bad behavour plugin on a number of blogs (that excepts comments and trackbacks) without any problems. Bad Behavour has blocked hundreds of spam comments and is used on the Portagemma website also.
